GIFTS FOR PALILULA FIRST GRADE SCHOLARS

The Association` Ljubi bliznjeg svog` has prepared also this year the gifts for all Palilula scholars the starters in the first grade of Palilula nine elementary schools.
In the hall of NKC and in the presence of the councilors of Palilula Municipality, but also surrounded by their parents and teachers, little pupils had their celebration organized by this Association and Palilula Municipality.

NEW YEAR`S `GALA` CONCERT

Palilula Municipality together with NKC-Nis Cultural Center have prepared one extraordinary New year`s gift for the representatives of the City of Nis, media and Nis institutions, as a way of expressing the gratitude for the support of local self government in the year 2008. Instead of usual cocktail receptions, in NKC on December 28th at 20 00 hours there will be GALA CONCERT performed by `Constantinus` Trio.The audience will have an opportunity to enjoy in arias and compositions for voice, solo violin and contiunuo by J.S. Bach and A. Piazzolla.

New Year`s reception for 50
young people and children, orphans living in `Dusko Raodovic`
Institution, including the children with their mothers, the victims of
family violence, was organized in NKC Nis Cultural Center. The
president of the Municipality of Palilula PhD Igor Novakovic, together
with Gua Shiao, the president of `Chinese trade association for South
Serbia` and the president of the `Association of cultural-educational
and sport cooperation of Serbia and China` , a donor of beautiful and
useful presents for these children were the hosts of the reception.

meeting of
Palilula
Assembly,
summoned by
Milan
Djurdjevic,
the
president of
the
Assembly,
was held on
December 18
2008 in NKC.
In the work
of the
Assembly 24
councilors
took part,
including
Municipal
councilors
and the
president of
Palilula
Municipality.
After the
legitimating
of the
Minutes of
the last
Assembly
meeting, the
`Decision-act
of the
budget for
2009` was
legitimated
with
majority of
votes.
The
responses to
the
councilors
questions
proceeded,
and the
meeting was
finished by
new
initiatives
of the
councilors.

LOCAL COMMUNITY `CRVENA ZVEZDA` CELEBRATES ITS SAINT DAY - SLAVA

 People of Local Community `Crvena Zvezda`, Palilula Municipality territory, traditionally celebrated their Saint -Saint Emperor Uros Day. This year the host of the celebration was Aleskandar Savic, chief of council group - Democratic party, Palilula Assembly. The ceremony of cutting traditional slava cake was attended by many, including Miodrag Radovic city councilor and Milan Djurdjevic, the president of Palilula Assembly. In the territory of this area, owing to the efforts of the local citizens Council, many activities are active, all with the aim of improving the life quality.

FOURTH MEETING OF PALILULA ASSEMBLY
11.12.2008.
The fourth meeting of Palilula Assembly, summoned by Milan Djurdjevic, the president of the Assembly, was held on December 11 2008 in NKC.
23 councilors took part during the session including Municipal councilors and the president of the Municipality.
The president of the Municipality submitted his `Report on activities`. He emphasized very constructive cooperation with councilor groups and coalition partners, as well as the activities of Municipal administration. The immediate contact with the people living in rural and urban areas have contributed to successful realization of local self-government mission. `

THREE BABIES FOR STANKOVIC FAMILY!
09.12.2008.
The Stankovic family in Brestovacka Street no 50, Novo Selo, became larger for three more beautiful members. Father Sasa, worker in Jugolift company and Tatijana, the mother, electro-technician, unemployed, became parents on May 5 2008. They were blessed with three baby girls! Little `Palilula baby girls` Lena, Ljubica and Janja were visited by the delegation of Palilula Municipality Zorica Stoiljkoivc and Milos Stojkovic, Municipal councilors. They were also the messengers of the president of Municipality and brought the presents: dippers, baby milk, food, cosmetics for children in the amount of 30,000 dinars.
The guests were welcomed, like the custom is, by happy grandparents Slavoljub and Slavica.

"LET US START TODAY AND SAVE TOMORROW"

World climate change day December 6th is also noticed and celebrated in Nis by many promotions, lectures and citizen peaceful walk. With the help of Palilula Municipality, this planetary campaign was organized by Ekopolis net and coalition of non governmental organizations `Evrobalkan` in the cooperation with the Association of physicists of Serbia and society `Milutin Milankovic`. Under the motto Let us start today and save tomorrow stop to climate changes 2008, this activity started with the public speaking at the press conference in Media Center in Nis. The themes were dealing with global warming, causers, results of successful Kyoto protocol applying that was ratified in Serbia in the beginning of this year.

AGREEMENT ON ADAPTATION OF MEMORIAL TOMB MONUMENT OF BULGARIAN SOLDIERS
04.12.2008.
The delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, led by the colonel Ilian Kstev, the representative of the Ministry of Defence of Bulgaria and Georgi Jurukov and the general consul of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nis visited Palilula Municipality. During the meeting with the president of Palilula Municipality they agreed upon the future coming activities in arrangement of Memorial monument (location- Ledena stena, part of Dimitrije Tucovic Boulevard, direction to Novo Selo). For this memorial place from WW 2nd , the Institution for monument protection in Nis has created for free reconstruction project and the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence has donated 30, 000 euros for this project.

PALILULA
MUNICIPALITY BROUGHT ONE NEW INVESTOR INTO THE CITY
03.12.2008.
After the Letter of
intention sent to Palilula Municipality by the representatives
of the Technomarket firm - leading firm in the production of
electronic equipment in South-east Europe and between the first
five in Europe, Palilula Municipality has willingly accepted the
idea of Technomarket construction in new Industrial zone
Medjurovo. The president of the Municipality, PhD Igor Novakovic,
held a meeting with the mayor of Nis Mr Simonovic and with the
representatives of public services and in this way helped
Technomarket representatives to introduce the the city of Nis with
their intentions. This big storage type distribution center is
30,000 m2 and will be in Industrial zone-Medjurovo.
